Home Purchase Sentiment Slips Slightly in August

The Fannie Mae Home Purchase Sentiment Index fell slightly in August, from 71.8 to 71.4, as concerns mount about selling conditions, the likelihood of home prices increasing, and personal financial situations. Perceptions around buying improved month over month, with 28% of respondents saying now is a good time to buy, up from 23% in July.
